Let God Fight Your Battles
Scripture of the Day: Psalm 55: 21-23
"The words of his mouth were smoother than butter, but war was in his heart: his words were softer than oil, yet were they drawn swords.
Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.
But thou, O God, shalt bring them down into the pit of destruction: bloody and deceitful men shall not live out half their days; but I will trust in thee."
There is no heart God cannot fix. There is no wound He cannot heal. There is no tear He cannot dry and there is no crack He cannot seal. The question is will we let Him take the wheel?
We often call upon God to do “wonders” in our life but we still hold the door to the drivers side. We never allow God to steer. Sometimes, if we are in the mood, we may allow him to be a backseat driver , giving him leniency to give directions we may or may not take. However, we want him with us. He want his divine power to surround us but we truly won’t allow Him to help us. So how can our battles be won?
David was encouraging himself and calling upon God for his assistance. He was in need because enemies had risen against him. He knew he need God’s help and he called upon the name of the Lord. He gave God is problems and God solved them.
We are only humans. Our hands and feet can only do so much, but with God ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE. The rocks become your stepping stones. You climb on mountians and you triumph over the emeny. David prayed and God delivered. David believed and God delivered. David surrendered his control and God delivered. For our Lord will never forsake or leave us. He has in the palm of his hand. So let God fight your battles so you can win.
