Tip of the Day: It’s Hard To Say Goodbye
It’s hard to say to goodbye to things that are so familiar. Letting go of everyday norms feels like a baby being ripped away from its mother.
It’s hard to say goodbye to a part of you that has become home and yet we know in our hearts the journey has ended. Goodbyes are never easy, but sometimes they are necessary.
It’s like moving from one state to another or one country to another. You’re leaving behind a base that has taken residence in your life. You are saying goodbye and starting over . The over is the hardest part because it is a constant reminder of what was. Over becomes the memories and moments shared with things and people you’ve left. Over is the sulking, the day-dreaming and the regretting.
But over is also the engine that could. It keeps moving forward. Over fights to remain. It fights to gain new life to opens door to a new smile.
It isn’t easy to say goodbye but with faith you can do it.
Cry your tears and let God bear your pain. Take your weight and lay it down. Take the first step and close the door. Take the key and give it to the Lord.
Then lay at his feet with the tears in your eyes. Rest your heart and allow him to heal your brokeness. When you rise, rise with confidence knowing old things are passed away and you are new. Hold unto his word and you will get through by leaving your pass behind and stepping in the new.
Revelation 21:4
"He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.”
