I just came for the Chicken Tacos

Imagine scrolling through your feed and watching a ThrillistNYC video of a hidden treasure right in your backyard. Noble Kitchen and Cocktails is located in Oceanside, Long Island, New York.

Owner Rob Disanto explained how he and his brother took their traditional Italian Recipes and modernize them with their inventive concoctions. One being their idea of chicken cutlet being a taco with pasta in the middle.

Could it really be? A beautiful moist chicken cutlet in the shape of a taco that could hold a beautiful pasta of all shapes and sizes with delicious cheese sauce dripping at its sides?!!!

This idea seemed unfathomable, so I had to see it for myself.

Walking through Noble Kitchen I already loved the ambience and vibe I received. Noble Kitchen opens to a bar on the left hand side with sit down tables on the right. The waiters who are so attentive and allow you time to read the menu and get settled. The lighting invites initmate feel that you can take family, friends, and first dates there. Owner comes around makes sure his customers are enjoying their meal and the food is Instagrmable.

But I didn’t need to study the menu. I knew what I wanted and what I came for.

I survyed the menu and did not find the chicken tacos. When I asked my waiter she began to explain to me the different types of pasta I can order with my taco. They offer a few options including Penne al Vodka and Fettuccine Caico e Pepe. I made a mental note that the information for the tacos is on their big menu on the wall and not on their smaller menus.

Daring to be different and live out my pasta fantasy I choose a chicken taco with Fettuccine Caico e Pepe.

I placed my order waiting patiently as I chewed on my calamari. After twenty minutes my waiter brought my taco. I had to remember to take a photo before I dived right in. The steam that ozzed from chicken and the sauce that dripped from the pasta. I was in pasta heaven. Unsure of how to tackle my taco I went head first and mouth open. The sauce ran down my mouth as ate my taco.

The chicken was so tender and moist. The pasta had the right amount of spice adding a little kick in every bite. The pasta was cooked al dente as the chicken added a little crunch with its crispy skin. Every bite was worth it. I closed my eyes on every chew feeling the love that went into making this invention.

I cleaned my plate as I listened to the live musican who serenade us with his voice and guitar. The wait was worth it!! Great food, great service, and great music. All the things you’re looking for when you go out to eat. There were so many other options to try like their pizza, egglpant, crispy octopus and their Noble Burger. I hope to make more memories at Noble Kitchen who is defintely deserving a second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth…. endless visits.
