Giving God thanks for the BIG THREE F’s in my life: FOOD, FRIENDS, and FAMILY

Another day and another opportunity to say thank you, Jesus! On this blessed Sunday Morning and I want to say thank you, Jesus, for food, friends, and most of all, my family.

Each week I am giving thanks leading up to Thanksgiving. We are still in a season of thankfulness despite what is going on in the world! People of God look around you; are you still here? Are you still breathing? Did you wake up this morning, and the sun shined in your face? Then there is something to thank God for! So I am thanking God for the three big F’s in my life; Food, Family, and Friends!

Yes, I am looking forward to Thanksgiving, and I am looking forward to spending time with the people I hold so dear. This year I lost someone in my life due to COVID-19, and sometimes I can’t believe it happened. Losing someone made me want to hold onto my family and friends for dear life because the truth is beside God; that’s all we have. So I am thankful Jesus for blessing me with a beautiful family who I may not always like, but I always love. Thank you for putting me in a family where we care deeply for each other and love each other with every fiber of our being. I thank you for giving me parents who not only love the Lord with all their hearts but taught me what it means to really live for God. They are my role models. I have siblings who I can’t imagine life without. We fit together like two birds of a feather, and I thank you.

I thank you, Jesus, for my friends who are more than just friends but are family. They are the reason why I am always laughing and grinning from ear to ear. They are more than just friends; they are my family for real.

Lastly, I thank you for the food that continues to grace my kitchen. With many families still hungry during the pandemic, I am thankful that my cup is full and running over. I don’t take lightly the blessings that you bestowed upon me. Each morning when I wake up and open my fridge, I know that you are good.

So thank you, Jesus, for your blessing on me.
