Do you ever take the time to thank God for just being God? When it’s quiet, I reflect on how good God is. I am so thankful that He created me and wanted me to be apart of this kingdom. So, you guessed it; I am thankful for God.

You might think this is silly, but your mindset would be different if you’ve experienced the experience. I remind myself that God does not need us. He is excellent, all-powerful, omnipresent, and greater than any power in the world. Therefore, God doesn’t need us to do His work, yet He chooses us every time.

As I prep and gather the final ingredients for my ultimate Thanksgiving recipes, I am filled with gratitude and joy. 2020 has been one for the books, but despite it all, God still sent the blessing. God has been good. Every time I pray, I know He hears. His word is true. He reminds us in His word that He will never leave us nor forsake us. He reminds us that He sent His only son to die so we might live. God tells us that we are the sheep of His pasture. We’re the apple of His eye. His love is greater than any human love.

So I am thankful because, without God, I don’t know where I would be. I am grateful not only because of what He has done but because of who He is. Who is like our God? Who can compare to Him?

In everything and through this month of thanksgiving, we must give God thanks. Many didn’t make it, and the fact that we woke up this morning is a blessing in itself. Life may not be what you want it to be right now but give God praise because no matter what, when you live for Him, your reward is sure on Heaven’s election shore.
