Christian Christmas Gift Guide

    1. Music
      1. Whether it’s old school CDs, Vinyl (if someone has a record player), or the modern age digital downloads, Christian music is a great affordable Christmas gift for a Christian. Music albums range from $5.99-$13.99, and you can purchase on Itunes, Amazon music, or in-store at any retailer such as Target, Walmart, and Walgreens. Currently, I am listening to Jekalyn Carr’s new album, “Changing Your Story.” This album was $12. My favorite songs are “Canaan, Changing Your Story, and The Blood Never Lose. Released in November, Carr’s new album is an excellent choice if you’re looking for gospel soul.
    2. Faith-based apparel and accessories
      1. I recently discovered a new faith-based store in the mall called Altar’d State. What I love most about this store are all the cute and encouraging scriptures. Faith-based stores have clothing with uplifting quotes and scriptures, which are a great reminder of God’s promises. If you haven’t checked our Altar’d State, go now and snag those Cyber Monday and Black Friday deals.
    3. Bibles
      1. We often look over Bibles for Christmas, but I believe a Bible is an excellent gift for a Christian or non-Christian. You can purchase a study Bible, the New Testament Bible, or a youth Bible. Bibles vary in price and range from $20 and up, but I believe this is the best gift you can give to anyone. You’re arming a person with the word of God and providing them the opportunity to know more about Jesus. Remember, the Bible is our sword, and we all need it.
    4. Bible case
      1. Bible’s need protecting; take it from someone who has ripped a few Bibles in her lifetime. Even though the word has moved from physical Bibles to apps and kindles, those of us who still carry the physical word need a great Bible case to keep our Bible safe. These can range from $12.99 and up and can be purchased online. Check out Christian Art Gifts for a variety of Bible cases.
    5. Christian books
      1. This not only includes self-help books but non-fiction and fiction Christian novels. This includes journals, daily devotionals, notebooks, and planners. Anything that requires the use of a pen or pencil falls under this category. I have a few friends who love to collect journals and daily devotionals; you can add to their collection. You can purchase these from Barnes & Nobles or any retailer with a books section.
    6. Artwork/wall furniture
      1. I love wall furniture and customized artwork that says, “Home of the XXX.” I love artwork that has scriptures and encouraging words. I love photos and picture frames or moments that happened in the year. These items aren’t cheap. They can vary from $25 and up, but they are so personal and thoughtful. These gifts last for a lifetime and are something that someone will use. You want your gift to be utilized, so put some thought into it.
    7.  Mugs
      1. Mugs are a great way to create personalized gifts. You can purchase specifically Christmas mugs or mugs with sayings that speak to that person. There are camera mugs, holiday mugs, and biblical mugs. Take your pick, wrap, package, and hand it to the person in love. Mugs are very inexpensive, depending on the retailer.
    8. Money
      1. Money is by far the simplest gift to give anyone. However, I find people short you when they give money as a gift, so try not to be a penny pincher when it comes to this. Of course, please give what you can afford, but make it thoughtful. Put the effort in the best Hallmark card and slip in cash with a beautiful note.
    9. iPhone/Cell Phone/Electronic cases
      1. Another great gift idea for your Christian friend, family member, church brother, and sister is to customize electronic cases. Just like your faith-based apparel, it’s a great gift where you can place encouraging affirmations.
    10. Baked goods or food gift cards
      1. There is nothing like a food gift card to save the day when you’re running low on cash. Purchase a $15 Starbucks card or a whole set to various restaurants. If you can’t afford a gift card, homemade food is always the best. Can you make a Sweet Potato pie or Sourdough bread (the latest phenomenon)? Baked goods can be your Christmas gift to your Christian neighbor. Don’t take that skill for granted.

Bonus Ideas

  1. Customized Cartoon Painting
    • You can do a cartoon painting. All you do is take a picture, find a vendor on Etsy and make your print into a cartoon print. It’s cute, fun, and memorable.
  2. Prayer/A letter of gratitude
    • If the above list doesn’t suit your budget, you can still give a gift. You can give the gift of a Christmas prayer and a letter of gratitude. You can write that person a letter, telling them how much you appreciate them and why. You can write your prayer on your card. This gift is so inexpensive but impactful and personal.
