God Loves You Just The Way You Are
When’s the last time you’ve gone makeup-free? I think we’re scared sometimes to show our real skin, to show our flaws and blemishes. We put such an emphasis to look “Instagram worthy” instead of just excepting our flaws. Don’t get me wrong; I love makeup as much as you, but there are times when I let my skin breathe. I allow myself to live in my skin, showing my acne scars, dark circles, baggy eyes, all the things that make me, ME!
Sometimes I think that’s how Jesus views us. He looks at us wondering, why do we continue to wear this mask. Why do we insist on looking Christ-Like? Why do we insist on keeping on this facade that we are ok?
Breathe. Let God be the makeup wipe that removes all the dirt away. Let Him change your heart, fix the pain, heal the bruise, and touch the soul. Let Him catch your tears and make you whole.
Let his light shine before you. Let Him make you brand new.
“For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.” (Luke 19:10)
You don’t have to put on a face for Jesus. He knows your heart, and He loves you just the way you are.
