My Trip to Aruba
First, let me say thank you. Thank you to my co-worker who recommend this beautiful Island called Aruba. Thank you to my mother who looked up one the best hotels in Aruba to stay in and thank you to my friends and sibling who came on this AMAZING TRIP. Thank you to Aruba for their hospitality, kind people, culture and all around experience. Most of all , thank you Jesus for keeping me safe and allowing this to happen.
Traveling to Aruba was never in my mind until a fellow co-worker recommended it to me. You see, I was planning a trip for my birthday and wanted to go to an island with beautiful weather, clear waters, and relaxation. I also needed it to be cost effective. My initial thoughts were the Bahamas, Atlantis resort because I stayed there a few years ago. However, my co-worker said the magic words ” They are right by the equator and its warm all year round.” After our chat I immediately went home and did my research. Based on the reviews, people raved about how beautiful and how cost effective Aruba was when they traveled. I told my mom my destination of choice and she immedailey began to search for good hotels in the area.
We stayed at the Aruba Hilton (post coming soon) and enjoyed every minute. Once you arrive in Aruba and you pass through customs, you can receive a taxi immediately. The taxi driver takes you to your hotel (cash only) and it is one standard rate. It is the same price going and coming from the airport. What I loved most about Aruba was the beautiful water and the peace of the ocean. Sometimes we forget just how beautiful it is to hear the oceans waves beating against the shore.
I also enjoyed the food with many different options and cuisines to choose from. I loved the fact that you did not have to change currency as an American and can you use your American dollars to pay for food and excursions. Aloe Vera is very popular in Aruba and many of their proudcts contain Aloe Vera.
Aruba was an amazing experience and can’t be condensed in one post– stay tuned for more
